from To Everything There is a Season

When reading these simple statements from Ecclesiastes, we werestruck by how timeless they are. They are as meaningful today asthey were over 2,000 years ago. Whatever language we speak, wherever we live on this planet, all of us share these life experiences;there is much we have in common.

This led to the idea of illustrating this book with styles of art fromaround the world; a graphic statement of universaility. Since thebeginning of history, people have expressed their joys and sorrowsgraphically in unique ways. Art in its many forms has inpired us. Ithas, in some cases, given us the only surviving information about acivilization that no longer exists.

It is our hope that TO EVERYTHING THERE IS A SEASON willoffer comfort, will open up discussion about life experiences, and willinspire a respect for art and the impact it has on our lives.
